Ram 1500 Named Motor Trend’s “2013 Truck of the Year”Dec 18th, 2012
This is a proud day for the Ram world. The 2013 Ram 1500 has been named 2013 Truck of Year by Motor Trend. It leads the pack with its air suspension, choice of engines, variety of trim levels and towing capability.

Trucks which compete in the Motor Trend Truck of the Year are evaluated using six criteria: design advancement, engineering excellence, efficiency, safety, value and performance of intended function. To qualify, a vehicle must be all-new or has been remarkably changed from the previous model.
Not only did the 2013 Ram 1500 change, it went to a whole new level. For 2013 it offers buyers best-in-class 25 mpg fuel efficiency, new technology and new features without compromising capability. It also leads the industry thanks to a truckload of pioneering and fuel-saving systems. There are many options when it comes to powertrains: 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine or the award-winning Pentastar V-6.
The 2013 Ram 1500 features first-in-segment technologies such as an eight-speed automatic transmission, stop-start system, thermal management system, pulse-width modulation and active aerodynamics, including grille shutters and active air suspension. The 2013 Ram 1500 is offered in nine models and starts at $23,585 including the $995 destination charge.
Ram engineers pulled out all the stops and explored what the 2013 Ram 1500 could become. They have created a newly designed frame to new engines and transmissions to a new interior with the next-generation Uconnect Access system.
